Carol Dearman Zeitelhack's Obituary
Carol D. Zeitelhack (Shaffner) 87 of Cutler Bay, FL passed away peacefully on June 29, with her children by her side. She was born January 25, 1932 in Massillon, OH to Fred and Mary Dearman 4th of 6 children. She moved to Miami at 20 years old and called Miami her home until her passing.
She was married to George E. Shaffner for 23 years until his death. She remarried to Donald Zeitelhack for 16 years until his death and lived with Louis Cooper, companion and friend for 10 years until his passing.
She retired from Southern Bell Telephone Co. after 26 years and then chose to work for FPL, Eastern Airlines and Delta Airlines.
Carol was an active member of the Telephone Pioneers Club. She was a generous person who would do anything for anyone. She was a beloved wife, companion, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.
She is survived by her children Sherrie Klein (Loren), Vicki Rister (Tim Hager), Stephen Shaffner (Robin). Grandchildren Sandra Klein, Eric Klein, Kristina Benites (Jorge), Stephen Jr.(Danielle), and Amber Lasso.
Great grandchildren Christian Lopez (Sandra), Ethan Klein (Eric), Katelyn and Annalise Benites (Kristina), Kiersten, Spencer, Parker and Melinda Shaffner (Stephen Jr.). Her sister Ruth Ann Dearman of North Ft Myers, FL.
There will be a celebration of Life and Memories for Carol on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at her home at 20830 SW 87 Ave #102 from 2 to 4 PM.
In Lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the charity of your choice.
