Carl Houston Roach, Sr.'s Obituary
97, Carl Houston Roach, Sr. was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on October 13, 1912. His family moved to Miami, Florida when he was 8 months old.
He graduated from Miami High School, and graduated from Embry Riddle School of Aviation and was employed at Pan American Airlines.
He married the love of his life, Alta Eastman, had 4 children, Lois Clark, Carl Roach, Jr. Fred Roach, and James Roach. He lived with his wife of 72 years,
and both enjoyed the many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great – great grandchildren. His life revolved around his home and family. But most of all,
was his love for the Lord Jesus Christ and his total devotion to his church. He was a charter member of Stanton North Shore Baptist for many years before retiring and moving to North Carolina, where he continued his active church life in Freedom Baptist Church. After returning to Miami, where he resided with his son, he became a member of Wayside Baptist Church. His love for God, family, and this country, proved him to be an outstanding person and truly a patriarch of his family. We will all miss you, but will see and be with you again. Your passing was not an end, but only the beginning of life eternal. We love you! A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, August 15, 2010 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 pm. Interment at Miami Memorial park Cemetery on Monday, August 16, 2010 at 10:00 am.
