Carl led my first TDY to Germany when I had just 1 stripe. He was bringing back too much wine to clear Customs, so he had a female airman take some of it through the line. When the Customs agent asked her how much wine she had, she replied, " I don't know. Carl, how much wine did you give me?" Traveling with Carl was always a colorful adventure. I'll miss him very much.
