BRENDA F. SMITH's Obituary
Smith, Brenda Gayle Foster was born October 8, 1948. She departed this life on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at Baptist Hospital in Miami, Florida. Brenda was the daughter of the late Nathaniel and Mildred Lane Foster, sister of the late Sherman Foster. Brenda grew up in Macon, Georgia. She graduated from Ballard Hudson High School in 1966 and attended Fort Valley State University where she earned a B.A. in Sociology and a Master’s Degree in Guidance and Counseling in 1972. She moved to Florida, where she worked as a Guidance Counselor and later retired from Robert Morgan Educational Center. Brenda is survived by her sister, Rosalyn Patricia Foster Finney, (Rev. Ulysses Jerome), Nephews; Rodney Jerome and Ronald Jerod Finney, Nathan Foster, and aunt, Mrs. Sarah Gee of Macon, GA, an uncle, Charles Lane of Boston, MA and a host of relatives and friends. A viewing will take place Saturday, June 28, 2014 from 4PM to 6PM. Brenda will be buried in Macon, GA and services will be handled by Hutchings Funeral Home.
