I spent many hours of my childhood playing with Wendy and eating dinner at the bustling Rust kitchen table. Her parents and siblings treated me as one of the family and I grew to admire each of them.
Bonnie had a fairytale type of beauty and wonderful sense of humor. I remember her as a woman of strong faith in God and a sincere and deep love for her family. She was spunky, funny, patriotic, and very beautiful. I extend my deepest condolences to all of her family. May she rest in peace.

Dear Rust family, I am so very fortunate to have been close friends with both Bonnie and Lani since our high school days. When our children were young and we did everything together. Then life took over and after years apart, I am thankful that we reconnected. It was like we never skipped a beat! The years apart melted away and the memories we shared when we were young will always be cherished. It is true that time nor separation take away from friendship. So sorry to hear of Bonnie”s passing. I remember her years ago when I was at Westminster and spent sometime at the Rust home as I knew Lani who was in my class. May God bless her soul and the Rust family at this difficult time.

Loved you, Bon. I will remember the good times, our adventures to the Islands in the 90s, our New Orleans shenanigans back in the day, happy times with your precious grandchildren who I love so much.
Never forget the warmest hugs, affection and heartfelt prayers together at your home and the hospital. Forever grateful for that closeness and being with you and your girls in good times and hard times.
