Bonnie Jean Hutton's Obituary
Bonnie Jean Hutton passed away April 18, 2026. She was born in Normal, Illinois, on August 28th 1952. Bonnie lived in Morris, Illinois where she graduated from Morris Community High School where she was a straight A student and part of the National Honor Society and a National Merit Scholarship finalist. Bonnie attended college at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mathematics.
Bonnie was married on January 18th 1992 to Tom Hutton.
Bonnie worked at Florida Power and Light for 26 years in various Information Technology positions including training, software development and supervising the group that supported the internal email system.
Bonnie is a proud member of the Miami Villagers, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation and restoration of historic sites.
Bonnie volunteered for 10 years as a mentor with The Women of Tomorrow® to inspire, motivate and empower at-risk young women at Felix Varela Senior High School.
Bonnie was also very talented and passionate about painting and availed herself to art classes at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Gardens where she met many wonderful fellow artists.
Although Bonnie did not attend Miami Senior High School, she became very close to alumni from Tom’s 1964 graduation class and along with Tom developed and maintained the class alumni web pages including a memorial page. Bonnie knows more Miami High alumni than Tom does.
She is survived by Husband Tom and all her wonderful friends.
