Blanca Funes, 81, of Miami, FL, passed away on March 15, 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer. She leaves behind a profound void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Above all else, Blanca was devoted to her family. She is remembered as a loving wife, mother, and beloved sister. Her greatest pride and joy were the moments she spent with her family, sharing her generosity and unconditional love. Blanca was the kind of person who showed her love not only in words, but in every action—through her unwavering presence, quiet support, and caring guidance. Though she is no longer with us, the love she poured into her family will continue to live on in the memories we hold.
Blanca was born in Camagüey, Cuba, on October 25, 1944, to her parents, Armando Cabrera Perez and Maria Cristina Alfonso. She is survived by her husband, Lincoln Funes, and their daughter, Elizabeth Funes Perez, who will carry forward her legacy of love, resilience, and selflessness.
A memorial service for family and friends will be held on April 11th, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Van Orsdel Funeral Home located at 11220 N Kendall Dr, Miami, FL 33176.
