Betty Lou Johnson's Obituary
Johnson, Betty, 90, of Miami, Florida, died August 5, 2017 at West Kendall Baptist Hospital surrounded by her family. Born January 12, 1927 to Robert and Gladys Lester Bohlen in Columbus, Ohio, where she resided until relocating permanently to Homestead, FL, in 1998. Preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Frank Johnson, who passed away in 2009. Survived by two daughters, Linda Brown and husband William of Miami, FL and Carolyn Dresser of Hollywood, FL; four grandchildren: Chad Brown and wife Luciana of Plantation, FL; Jennifer Reid and husband Andrew of Royal Palm Beach, FL; Kevin Brown and wife Olivia of Miami, FL; and Charles Dresser and wife Veronica of Sacramento, CA; six great-grandchildren: Benjamin Reid; Zachary Reid; Renzo Brown; Courtney Reid; Allyson Brown; John Brown; and Jillian Brown. Also predeceased by parents and four siblings: Barbara Mae England; Robert Bohlen; Joseph Bohlen; and David Bohlen. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Betty was a life-long member of the Community of Christ Church, a devoted wife and mother, doting grandmother and great-grandmother. We miss you and love you Mamaw.
Family will receive friends at Central Presbyterian Church at 12455 SW 104th Street, Miami, FL on Saturday, August 12 at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Central Presbyterian Church in the name of Betty Johnson. The burial will be at Glen Rest Cemetery Sept 9 at 10:00 am.
