Bertha C. Sotolongo's Obituary
Bertha Campos Sotolongo, 89, died October 22 after a long illness. She was born in Endicott New York the daughter of Ignacia and Belem Campos. She lived in Atlanta, Cincinnati and Indianapolis before retiring to Miami in 1980. She married Eladio Sotolongo in 1951 and was married for 52 years. She was a fine artist specializing in still life, and large scale florals. She is survived by her daughter Lisa Bliss of Middletown RI, her sons, Eladio, III and Michael Sotolongo of Miami; three grandchildren, Sara and Thomas Bliss of Newport RI, and Zachary Adkins of Miami. She is also survived by two sisters Emma Jankiewicz and Agnes Hanley of California. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, October 25, 2010 from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm. A Mass of Resurrection will be held at St. Richard’s Catholic Church on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at 10:00 am followed by interment at Dade South Memorial Park.
