BEIN
Barbara J. 7/25/35-7/21/11, passed in peace after a sudden illness. A graduate of the U of Miami, she was a loyal and fervent supporter of the school she loved, cheering on the hurricanes team. She worked at the Coral Gables Youth Center for 46 ½ years, with the youth, teens and later with the adult members. Honored by the City of Coral Gables in 1991 as the outstanding employee of the year, she retired in 2006. She loved playing bridge with many of the ladies she taught and was active in several Coral Gables groups – Coco Plum, Friendship, the Theater group and others. She loved being with people. A member of St. Marks’ Lutheran Church since the 1960’s her faith and friends have sustained her through many years and her smiling face will be missed by all who knew her. A celebration of her life will be held at 10 am on Saturday, August 20th at St. Marks’ Lutheran Church in Coral Gables.
