Barbara Ann O'Neill's Obituary
Barbara Ann O'Neill, age 84, of Miami, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025, after a short battle with Alzheimer's disease. Born on December 8, 1940, in Worcester, Massachusetts, Barbara brought laughter and kindness, brightening the lives of everyone fortunate enough to cross her path.
She was the beloved wife of the late George O'Neill. The legacy of their partnership lives on through their devoted son, Kevin O'Neill, and his wife, Natalie, as well as Barbara's sister, Arlene Quigley. Barbara was a cherished member of a large family and goes on to join her brother, Elliot, and sisters, Joan and Jean, who predeceased her.
Barbara dedicated her professional life to the Miami Dade school district, where she worked for over three decades. Retirement did not slow Barbara down; she found joy in the simple pleasures of life, lunches with her close friends or the excitement of gambling at Miccosukee. With humor and warmth, she could turn a mundane afternoon into an unforgettable memory.
Barbara faced Alzheimer's with the same irreverence she did all of life's challenges. She confronted the disease with characteristic humor and grace, proving that even in the toughest times, a little comedy can go a long way.
As her journey on this earth concludes, we are reminded of the light Barbara brought into the world. While we mourn our loss, we also take solace, knowing her spirit will forever remain a part of the lives she touched, and we thank her for her genuine kindness, endless laughter, and boundless love.
