Barbara Essig Napier's Obituary
With great sadness and emotion, our lives on Earth have become a bit dimmer with the passing of our beloved, amazing, Mrs. Barbara Essig Napier.
Her positive presence, her strong and bold heart, caring and unselfish soul has left our physical presence. Barbi is survived by her loving husband, Mr. Virgil M. Napier, Jr., her fur baby rescue Pomeranian, Casper, her fabulous cousins and family, friends, and frankly everyone she ever met. She brought a bit of light and brightness to each person she touched.
Barbi's passions in life, from flight and airplanes, to animals (especially helping those less fortunate) focused on rescue Poms, design, Real Estate and travel. Unique loves also included her and Virgil's crazy obsession with Costco's around the world, anything Pink, secret cravings for sweet things after a drink or two--and Casola's pizza whenever you needed a slice. Her Spin classes were enjoyable and a workout, her knowledge and caring for injured animals brought those around her to help with their pets, and her unselfishness of continuous giving to those around her.
Growing up in Brooklyn, NY, Barbi graduated from Fashion Institute Of Technology with her Bachelor of Arts, but always said Miami is her home She spent many years flying for multiple airlines as a Flight Attendant, moved on to Real Estate, selling multi-million dollar homes--while caring for each and every client like they were family...of which, many did become her extended family.
Barbi impacted hundreds, through her bright smile, compassion, and good nature. Her poise when there was a struggle, her patience and compassion for those, and a pain threshold beyond words--as evidenced by her last few months. She was an avid 'Canes fan, ultra loving wife, and best friend anyone could hope for...to say we are all shattered, is an understatement. Please know that her life was the true spirit of giving, loving and enjoyment--and her words will ring true during her Eulogy and Remembrance..."I am not drinking today...well, okay, maybe just one"
And as usual, Barbi's wish was to wear bright colors to celebrate her life, and to donate to her favorite charity, Animal Welfare Society of South Florida. So, just do it. Now. Barbi said to.
And how she ended every interaction...Love you, I Love You too.
