Barbara Ann Koesy's Obituary
Koesy, Barbara Ann, 86, Native Miamian passed away November 1, 2021. Born January 11, 1935 to Lola and Szilard Fred Koesy. Barbara was the youngest of 7 siblings. Predeceased by her brothers: Jason, Sheldon, Calvin and John. She is survived by her sisters: Jeanne Earnest (Gainesville, FL) and Lucy Shingleton (Atlanta, GA) and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graduate of Miami High '53 and the University of Miami B.S. in Education and a Masters of Political Science. Barbara was a Flight Attendant for Eastern Airlines for 30+ years and taught for Miami Dade Public Schools. She was active in the Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority, Miami High Alumni Association and the Eastern Airlines Silverliners. She was a dedicated Poll Worker and attended Central Christian Church in Coral Gables where she sang in the choir. Visitation: Saturday, November 6, 2021 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM in the Van Orsdel Funeral Home Coral Gables Chapel, 4600 S.W. 8th Street. Burial to follow at Graceland Park North, 4420 S.W. 8th Street.
