Barbara Crutchfield's Obituary
Barbara L. of Hialeah, FL(formerly of Anderson, IN), passed sway April 29th at Palm Springs Hospital. She was 85 years old and retired from Miami Dade School System, where she served over 40 years as a Physical Education Instructor (South Hialeah and Ben Franklin Elementary). Barbara was a longtime docent with the Miami Metro Zoo and was a cherished volunteer and friend to many. Barbara was an amateur photographer and shared her beautiful photographs generously. She was a loving and devoted mother, teacher, volunteer and friend. She is preceded in death by her husband James E. Crutchfield, her parents, Peter and Myrtle Bronnenburg. Barbara is survived by her children, Linda Crutchfield, Ken Crutchfield and his wife Carol Dawson and their son Jeffrey Dawson and many cherished and devoted friends. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Center for Great Apes, P.O. Box 488, Wauchula, FL 33873 or the Zoological Society of Florida, 12400 S.W. 152 St. Miami, FL 33177. Barbara will be sadly missed by all who knew her. A visitation is scheduled for Sunday, May 3rd from 6-9 pm.
