AVINASH GUPTA's Obituary
Avinash Gupta died unexpectedly at his home on June 15, 2015 in Miami, Florida. He was 68.
Mr. Gupta was born on October 9, 1946 in New Delhi, India. He graduated from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology with a degree in Architecture in 1968. He moved to Miami in 1971 and married Dr. Padma Gupta, a Miami pediatrician, in 1974. In 1980, he welcomed his son, Anuj, and was an extremely proud and loving father. Avinash was a well-respected leader in the architectural and engineering field. His specialty was design of medical facilities and many of the hospitals in Florida are a testimony to his expertise. He retired from professional practice in 2010.
Avinash was a most gracious and loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and dear friend. His larger than life personality and generosity was very contagious.Avinash is survived by his wife Padma Gupta, and his son Anuj and daughter-in-law Sharon Gupta of Maryland.
There will be a memorial service on Friday, June 19, at 10:30 am at Van Orsdel Family Funeral Chapels at 3333 NE 2nd Avenue, Miami, Florida 33137. The family suggests donation to the American Heart Association in lieu of flowers.
