Ann M. Foster Morgan's Obituary
Ann Laurie Marchman Foster Morgan, age 92, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at her home in Miami. Born in Atlanta, she was the daughter of Henry Marchman and Sallie Claude Holden. Artist & Educator, she earned her degree from Georgia State College for Women, and taught both art and business in Georgia and Florida. Part of the South Florida Artistic Community, she was founder of the De Nova Art School, and both taught and exhibited fine paintings for many years. She is predeceased by three loving husbands, Robert Fleming Carter, Kenneth Foster, and Cyril J. Morgan, and her adoring son Robert Fleming Carter, Jr. She is survived by nieces M. Claudia Marchman and Virginia Ann Marchman; great-niece Erica Marchman Salling, great-nephew Alexander Marchman Salling; sister-in-law Mary Jo Marchman; cousins William and Bobbie Schloenbach, and LaVonne Ledbetter. In recent years, her life was enriched by her good friend Jack Tierney, and her companions, Elsa de la Cruz and Lillia Henriquez. Visitation will be held Sunday 11/28/2010 from 3:30pm – 9:00pm. Services will be held Monday 11/29/2010 @ 11:00am at Van Orsdel Funeral Home Kendall Chapel 11220 North Kendall Drive (305)279-6644.
