Waldorf, Ann Parmenter
September 7, 1927 - May 7, 2016
Ann Parmenter Waldorf, 88 of Marathon Florida passed away May 7, 2016.
Ann was born September 7, 1927 in Rochester, New York
Ann attended Canandaigua Academy and graduated in 1946. She was a proud member of the cheerleading squad.
In 1949 Ann married Edward Waldorf in Canandaigua NY. This past November they celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary.
In 1961 Ed and Ann and their three daughters left Canandaigua, New York and moved to Coral Gables, Fl. There she proudly served as Secretary and Treasurer for the Coral Gables Women’s Club during the late 1960’s and early 1970’s. She was a member of University Baptist Church where she worked as a bookkeeper in the administrative offices. She taught Sunday school there for more than 15 years, and was always volunteering to work in the nursery, or helping to serve Wednesday night dinners. She was a dedicated Christian that loved people. She always had a smile on her face and beautiful blue eyes.
After moving and making Marathon their permanent home Ann and Ed joined the First Baptist Church of Marathon. There she served faithfully as Secretary and Treasurer for twenty five years.
Ann loved spending time with her husband. You could always find them either flying, fishing or boating.
Ann is predeceased in death by her parents Vivian Parmenter and Merton Parmenter, brother
Robert Parmenter and sister Olive Parmenter Dillon.
She is survived by her husband Edward, their three daughters Lynn Waldorf and Kyle (Jorge) Waldorf Aguero of Miami. Her daughter Robyn Waldorf (Kathy Phillips) of Decatur Ga, and her one son in law Jorge Aguero, her three grandsons John (Priscilla) Cowart, Lawrence (Lissette) Aguero, and Ernesto Villoch lll all of Miami, one granddaughter Olivia Phillips-Waldorf of Decatur Ga. Her five great grandsons Zachary and Jake Cowart , Gabriel and Alexander Martinez and Eli Villoch of Miami, and one great granddaughter Mila Villoch also of Miami.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday May 21 at 11:00am. at the First Baptist Church of Marathon located at 200 62nd Street Ocean. Immediately following please join the family for a luncheon at Key Colony Inn, located at Key Colony Beach, Fl.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in her honor at either First Baptist Church of Marathon or Marathon Baptist Church, 10875 Overseas HWY 120, Marathon, FL 33050.
