ANN THOMASSON HUTCHINSON's Obituary
Ann Thomasson Hutchinson, age 59, of Coral Gables, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 16 after a long illness. Ann was born and raised in Bedford, Virginia, the youngest of five children. She attended Bedford Public Schools and graduated from North Cross School in Roanoke, Virginia, where she was valedictorian of her high school class.
She was a 1985 Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia. She was an active member of the Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority at UVA and was a lifelong proud Wahoo.
Following graduation, she worked as a marketing manager for Hanesbrands in Winston- Salem, N.C. It was in Winston-Salem where she met the love of her life, Andrew Hutchinson, and made many enduring friendships.
Andrew and Ann were married on August 25, 1995 in Charlottesville, Va. They had three children, Spencer, Kathleen, and Meredith, who she loved unconditionally. She was an active member of and volunteer for the Coral Gables Congregational United Church of Christ. She also was a long-time supporter of The Ransom Everglades School in Coconut Grove, Fla., which her children attended and where she worked tirelessly as a volunteer.
Ann was highly intelligent, witty, loving, and charming and was known for her style and grace. She and Andrew were active runners who participated together in numerous marathons.
Ann was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She was enormously proud of her husband's and her children's many accomplishments. She leaves behind many friends in the Coral Gables community and around the country who will forever miss her.
Ann was predeceased by her parents Frank L. Thomasson, Jr. and Kathleen (Bootsie) Lunsford; and her older brothers Frank L. Thomasson, III and Bruce N. Thomasson. She is survived by her loving husband, Andrew Hutchinson; her children, Spencer, Kathleen, and Meredith Hutchinson; her sister Kathleen Bagby and brother Bill Thomasson; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service to celebrate Ann’s life will be held on Thursday, June 23rd at 4:00 pm at the Coral Gables Congregational United Church of Christ.
