ANITA MARIE CHRIST's Obituary
Anita Marie Christ passed away peacefully on Saturday evening , March 7, 2020. Born in Zug, Switzerland, Anita was the only child of Franz and Anna Sigg. Anita’s family came to the United States in her first year and settled in Reading, Pa. She was fluent in Swiss, German, and English. She went to the Reading School of Nursing and graduated as a RN in 1946. Moving to Miami in 1958, she practiced nursing at Jackson for over twenty years in various clinics, finishing her career in private practice. She was a giving and caring person who could often be found helping elderly neighbors and friends. Anita is survived by her three sons, Thomas (Jamie) Christ, Jeff ( Megan) Christ, Kip (Donna) Christ, and her grandchild Jane (Marc) Hitchcock, great grandchild Walker Patrick Hitchcock, and her grandchild Matthew Christ. At Anita’s request there will be no viewing or memorial service, and to have her ashes spread on Mt. Rigi, Switzerland.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
