Andrew Ellis Willett, "ANDY"'s Obituary
Andrew Willett, 37, Miami, FL, passed away Tuesday, July 26 at his residence. He was born in Bogota, Colombia, on September 6, 1978. He grew up in Huntington Woods, MI and graduated from Berkley High School in 1997. He received a Bachelors Degree from Western Michigan University in 2002. He also studied at the Universidad de Las Americas in Puebla, Mexico. He received a MBA and a MA in Sociology from Florida International University. He was an accomplished long distance runner and he very much enjoyed the Salsa dancing scene. Andrew suffered for many years with mental health issues. He is survived by his parents, Barbara and Allan Willett of Huntington Woods, MI, and a very "special" brother, Omar Cervantes Serrano, from Puebla, Mexico.
A gathering to celebrate Andy's life will be held Sunday, August 21, at the Four Quarters Habitat Clubhouse Room, 8337 SW 107th Avenue, Miami FL, 33173, from 2:00 - 4:00 pm.
A second Life Celebration will take place Sunday, August 28, at Farina's, 2485 Coolidge Hwy., Berkley, MI 48072, from 1:00-4:00 pm
