Andrea Kay Price's Obituary
PRICE, ANDREA KAY, 79, passed away on November 24, 2022, after a short and brave battle with cancer. Born November 30, 1942, in Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies. Kay moved to Trinidad in 1966 after marrying the love of her life, where she worked at Royal Bank of Canada. In Jamaica, Kay was a member of the Christ Church choir in Vinyard Town, and in Trinidad she was a member of the La Petit Musicale. In 1986, Kay moved to Miami where she worked as the church and school secretary for Lord of Life Lutheran for many years, before working with and retiring from the TSA. A dedicated member of St. Luke the Physician Episcopal Church since 1986, Kay was a member of the church choir, Vestry, Alter Guild, and the Episcopal Church Women’s Group. She organized many fund raising projects for the church. Kay was also instrumental in the opening of “La Casita”, the church thrift store.
Kay was predeceased by her husband, Desmond E.L. Price, her parents, Harry and Lena Forbes, of Kingston, Jamaica, and brother Michael Forbes. Kay leaves behind daughter Alisa (Colin Josephs), son Colin (Danielle), granddaughters Kayla & Kiana Josephs and Desi Price, grandson Dominic Price, sister Rev. Jean Forbes, nieces Katheryn Russell and Jennice Price, nephews Christopher Price, Evan Price, Joel Price, and Michael Forbes Jr., and many other family members and lifelong friends.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 28th between 6:00pm and 8:00pm at Van Orsdel – Kendall Drive 11220 N. Kendall Dr. Funeral Services will be held at 4:00pm on Thursday, December 29th at St. Luke the Physician Episcopal Church at 12355 SW 104 Street. Repast following the funeral service at 7705 SW 183rd Terrace. Palmetto Bay, FL 33157
