Amazonina DaCosta's Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Amazonina “Amy” Alves de Silva Azevedo DaCosta, a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, loving sister, and woman of unwavering faith. Amy left this world, surrounded by the family she treasured, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Born in Leca de Palmeira, Portugal on July 2nd 1940, Amy was a proud Portuguese woman who carried her heritage close to her heart, instilling its values in her family. She was the loving mother of four children, each of whom she raised with wisdom, strength, and unwavering devotion. As a grandmother of five, she was a constant source of love, guidance, and joy, sharing family traditions, stories, and the warmth that only an avó could give.
She was also a beloved sister to five siblings, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond. Her loyalty, compassion, and support touched everyone who knew her, reminding us all of the importance of family, friends and togetherness.
Amy leaves behind a legacy of kindness and a family who will forever cherish her memory. She is survived by her four children, Roy, Filomena, Kathlyn & Albert, her five grandchildren, Andrew, Kristen, Jacob, Austin & Brody, and her five siblings. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
A funeral service will be held on November 3rd & 4th at Van Orsdel Funeral Home. May she rest in peace, and may we carry forward her legacy of love and unity.
