ALTA MARIE WENDLAND's Obituary
Alta Marie Wendland Also known as Marie was born in Kansas and moved to Central Florida as a young girl, later moving to Miami and settling in North Miami, where she had been living for more than 70 years plus. Alta was baptized in 1960 at First Baptist Church of North Miami. During the war,she helped the war effort by assembling walkie talkies. Alta's past times and hobbies were gardening, sewing, needle point, crocheting, knitting and quilting ,to which she was a member of a local quilting club. Alta worked many years for
the Miami Dade School Board as a general cafeteria worker and retired in 1981.
She was predeceased by her Husband of 50 years; Parley C Wendland, her Sons; Richard D. Chrysler and Carl A Wendland and her Grandson; Darold R. Chrysler.
Alta is survived by Daughters; Hazel L. Casey (Colorado), and Dorothy E. Campbell (Virginia) and 5 grandchildren; Patricia Casey; (daughter of Hazel Casey), Beverly Stevens; (daughter of Dorothy E. Campbell), Debra Little; (daughter of Richard D Chrysler), Melody Dill; (daughter of Richard D. Chrysler), and Richard Chrysler; (son of Richard D. Chrysler).
Alta had 11 Great Grandchildren, 8 Great Great Grandchildren, a Niece; Betty Aries a Great Niece; Donna Aries and a very close family friend; James Margot;who lovingly referred to Alta as "Mother"
