ALEXANDER POUSCHINE's Obituary
Alexander Pouschine, son of Ivan Pouschine and Nadine Wadkovsky Pouschine, was born on January 29, 1932 in New Yourk City, N.Y. He grew up in Sea Cliff, N.Y., and graduated from Sea Cliff Grade and High School in June, 1950. Alex attended Princeton University and graduated from Columbia University School of General Studies. He played soccer, tennis, and loved sailing. He continued playing tennis until 2000 and then swam in a pool daily.
Alex worked in the banking industry, in New York City and later in Miami Beach, Florida, where he moved with his parents around 1960. He then became comptroller of the Twin Bikini Company in Miami from which he retired several years ago. Alex was a devoted member of Christ the Savior Orthodox Cathedral in Miami, serving on the Parish Council and as assistant treasurer until he passed away peacefully on September 27, 2016. His parents predeceased him and he is survived by his brother, Ivan Jr. of Orinda, California. Ivan's wife, Helen Carlson Pouschine, and their children Ellen Pouschine Sanchez, John Pouschine, Tania Pouschine DeGroot and Nicholas Pouschine, along with their spouses and children. Funeral services for Alex will be held at Christ the Savior Cathedral in Miami on Sunday, October 2nd viewing at 6:00 pm service at 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to be made to Christ the Savior Orthodox Cathedral.
