ALEIDA GARCIA GALANO's Obituary
Aleida was born in Cuba and moved to Bridgeport, Connecticut at age 16 with her mother Mireya (Mami Mireya) and her brother Manuel (Lalala) . She graduated from Bassick High School in Bridgeport. She met the love of her life Rogelio (Pirolo) while still in high school and they were inseparable from that moment on.
Aleida started her family young. This allowed her to create a special bond with her 3 children, Sarahi, Joel and Nadia.
Aleida was a dedicated Nurse, loyal to her job and patients. Always willing to go the extra mile to help her coworkers- with a beautiful smile on her face. She went to work even while sick- she was always there.
She was a fantastic cook, her special recipes brought the family together. She was the glue that kept the family united.
Aleida enjoyed bonding with Mama and playing Bingo. She liked going on cruises and visiting the Florida Keys. Her favorite pastime was driving on road trips with her husband or PASIANDO like she liked to call it.
In the last years of her life her love overflowed as she welcomed her beautiful granddaughter Krisari. Krisari and her “Wela” shared many special moments and secrets in the 8 years they had together.
Aleida or Aly as we all knew her by, will be missed by all. She’s in heaven now, reunited with her Father and many, many relatives- all who have welcomed her with open arms.
May she Rest in Peace and God Bless her Soul. See you when we get there- have the Cafecito waiting.
