We have known Al &Fran fo 60 years thru my husband Ted Leth & William Klemme they were best buddies back in the day now they are all 3 gone ,but will meet again God was good to them giving them good children& grandchildren my love & prayers go out to the Shaheen family I know he will be missed but time will heal the hurt and you will remember the good times all our love Waurrine
I have known the Shaheen family since Albie came to my school in 7th grade back in 1970 and since that time, I have spent quite a bit of time with Mike, Albie , "Big Al" and Francesca. Al and his wife attended many of our high school events and Birthdays and Al was always the first to say Hi and tell you a joke or funny story. Truly a wonderful husband, Father and all around great guy! Al's perennial smile and good nature will be sorely missed. May you rest in peace. What can I say about this wonderful and dear friend who I have known for most of my adult life, My golfing partner for 30 years ,and constant dining companion.
Al was always by my side volunteering at our church for our annual festival, He was always the first one there to help me cook at my annual Christmas breakfast, He was like a father to my 4 boys who adored him, his personality was infectious.
He made friends with everyone he met , be it a waitress, a starter on the golf course , a car salesman ,he would befriend them.
Al has left us too soon even though he was 87 he was always very strong, I am being very selfish but since Al has been ill for these past few months , it has created a void in my life, all I can do is relish the memories of our good times together.
