AGNES S SCHWARTZ's Obituary
Mary Agnes Sutton Schwartz, 99, passed away peacefully of natural causes on the 4th day of July, 2018, surrounded by her family.
Agnes was born on May 21, 1919 in Loretto, Kentucky, to Emily Susan Donahue Sutton and Frances Eugene Sutton. She was the youngest of nine children ─ five brothers and three sisters, all who predeceased her. Agnes married Kenneth David Schwartz of Louisville, KY in 1938, and after 64 years of marriage, he passed away in 2002. She is survived by their four children, Gail Stapleton, Suzanne Johnson, Kenneth David Jr. (Louise), and Sharon Longobardi (Gino); five grandchildren, Eric, Jason, Melanie, Aubrey, and Sarah; and seven great grandchildren.
Agnes began her professional career as a successful real estate agent in Louisville, KY. After her family relocated to Miami, Agnes started a legal copy and printing service, Black’s Copy Service, Inc., in 1969, along with her son David. She remained active in the business for more than three decades.
The family would like to acknowledge and thank the staff of Miami Jewish Health System for the wonderful care they gave their mother.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Hugh Catholic Church in Coconut Grove, FL.
Her internment will take place at St. James Catholic Cemetery in Elizabethtown, KY. In lieu of flowers, family and friends are invited to send donations to EWTN in Agnes’ name.
