A.J. Hosea, born in Atlanta, Georgia 1-14-1930 to C. Thomas Hosea and Selma Shead Hosea. Attended the public school system. Graduated Atlanta Technological High School 1947. Joined the U.S. Naval Reserve July 17, 1947. Entered Atlanta Division University of Georgia (new, Georgia State University) 1948. Entered the Insurance business with Aetna C&S 1948. Received B.A. Degree 1953 and a Commission as Ensign U.S. Naval Reserve. Active Duty U.S. Navy November, 1953 to December, 1955. Returned to insurance business January, 1956 with Managing General Agency, Hurt & Quin, Inc., Atlanta, Georgia. Was transferred to Miami, Florida, March, 1956. Operated A.J. Hosea Insurance, Incorporated from November, 1979 to June, 1999. Active in U.S. Naval Reserve, Miami, Florida, July 1956 to November 1978. Attained the Rank of Commander, U.S. Naval Reserve. Married former Mary Sue Alexander, Atlanta, Georgia for 58 years. Two sons, Robert Andrew and Charles Thomas, grandson Donald Hosea and granddaughters Lisa and Suzy.
