Jessie Villard
To me, Edith Schutt-Aine was Warmth and Welcome. When she asked: "Et comment vas tu"?, I always felt her genuine interest and care. It was never a purely polite question. She managed, throughout a long and often challenging life, to maintain her joy for life and her interest in people, when many others might have become sad or disengaged. Her most obvious great legacy are her outstanding five children to whom she has instilled her deep Faith, and who are following in her footsteps. But, it is impossible to know how many more who, like me, have found comfort in her affection. She is now at peace, in the presence of the Lord. May her example be an inspiration to us all.
