Tom was always a Southern gentleman, respectful and kind. I knew Tom from his time in the Customs Credit Union and we became friends. He was a great trainer when I decided to lift weights, and he actually had me in the best shape of my life. An example of his kindness was when I needed a new car and Tom not only prequalified me but went with me to the dealership, as he didn't want me to be taken advantage of with paying a higher price for the car.
Tom, a few friends and I would go every year to the Coral Gables Garden Club House Tour. A nice outing for everyone. I will always have nice memories of going with him to Joe Stone Crabs and other venues. He was a wonderful human being.
