I think it was 1976. I remember being called up to his desk to rub his shoulders. I must have done a good job. I became a chiropractor. I have fond memories of Mr. Maristany.

I was on facebook and there was a post that asked, 'who was you favorite teacher'? Hands down Mr. Maristany! I googled his name to check spelling and I found this... I am so sorry to read that he has passed away. I loved this man, and as a little girl attending Pinecrest Elementary, I wished that he was my dad. I learned so many important lessons from him. He was so full of wisdom and I always looked forward to his lessons. I still have my autograph book from 6th grade with his signature, which I thought was so cool and different. I loved 'HR's" He was such a good and caring man. May he rest in peace. God bless his legacy.
Just discovered the passing of one of the greatest educators who inspired me to become a great educator. Structure, organization, consistentcy, discipline and tough love were the characteristics of Mr Maristany and I contribute those traits in my classroom of 29years. Rember my first year teaching and taking an Apple course with my teacher as a peer. We were both lost but shared what we understood about dot matrix computers. He was thrilled I still had my Animal Kingdom notebook and asked for me to send it to him so he could share with his daughter. I did send it to him and was happy to do so. God Bless the family. Know this is way after his passing but just discovered the loss of a great educator.
I'll never forget how you were always there for me and loved me despite all my mistakes...If I'm half the teacher you were than my students will be blessed. I love you always Tio Bob.
