All of us who had the privilege of working alongside Diana came to know her grandfather through the vivid stories, heartfelt anecdotes, and cherished photographs of his countless journeys and adventures that she so generously shared with us. The love, pride, and joy with which Diana spoke of him offered us the unique opportunity to appreciate and admire the remarkable man he was.
He was always described as a man filled with happiness, radiating energy and a zest for life—qualities that inspired all who heard of him. His example is one to be celebrated and emulated, and many of us have often thought of how we might carry ourselves with the same warmth and vitality when we reach his age. Today, we honor his memory as a life well lived and a spirit that continues to inspire us all.
Rest in peace, abuelo, you will be truly missed.
