It is hard not to celebrate the life of Louis Schwartz. He was a man who started his life in the early days of Southern Florida. He was part of the early days of aviation along with his wife Anne. My fondest memories of Lou were just to listen to him talk, of old Florida days, the moving of the house from MIA, his memories of WWII, his time with National Airlines, and any number and manner of subjects. Let us not forget the amazing garage where anything could be not only fixed but made better. I always felt like I had access to the living history of the South Florida story. I will indeed miss him, realizing that an era of South Florida History has passed on.
