I worked with Kieth many years ago at Caterpillar. I hadn't had the opportunity to work with him in recent years, but totally enjoyed the work we did together in the late '90's. He was a true gentleman and a true professional. I have also just recently, early 2014, transferred into the Americas South team and have met many people who knew Kieth and worked with him closely over the years. They all have the same thing to say...he was a fantastic person to work with or for, and he will be missed very much.
Please accept my deepest condolences on his passing. I know I join many others who have said what a kind, thoughtful, and good person he was to work with. He truly was one of the best people I have worked with at Cat over 37 years with the company.

My deepest condolences to the family of Keith on his tragic passing. I knew Keith for 30 years, almost as long as I have been at Caterpillar. Keith was a loyal and true friend who was always available to help where needed. When I was a rep in Santiago Keith was responsible for Governmental sales in CACo. He came through the territory several times working with the Japanese Development Bank (JICA). One visit to Peru in 1986/87 involved an invitation to dine at the Japanese ambassador's residence. It was a very formal dinner, served by the women of the house dressed in traditional geisha garb and with the Ambassador's security detail that looked like a Sumo wrestling team. After dinner we were having cocktails and the ambassador was showing off his latest "laser Disc" player and saying how he used Karaoke to learn Spanish. After listening to the local Peruvians sing various Peruvian ballads Keith and I were relaxing when the Ambassador (who had just come to Peru from being the Consul in New York) said that "we can't forget our American friends...I have some good songs from the U.S. that I used to learn English". Up on stage we went for some traditional American songs...Keith sang "I left my heart in San Francisco", and I sang "Strangers in the Night"...we then did a duet of "Green Green Grass of Home". I think we closed down the house...The Peruvians who were there still talk about that evening. I always enjoyed travelling with Keith, he was an easy companion, someone you could talk to and always upbeat. He will be missed.

Keith was a great leader and mentor. I had the privilege to work for him for some time and his advice and work ethic continue to be valuable in my life today.
