I have many, many memories of Gordon that span over 40 years. Probably my absolute favorite was when we were left alone at Vicki's ranch in Waxahachie while she was at work, and we tried to feed the cows. He could only find one gear (which was SLLLOOOWWWWW) on the tractor, so I jumped into the driver seat and gave it a try. I found a faster gear, unexpectedly, and before I knew it, Gordon, who was sitting next to me on the fender, had his legs up the air and he was holding on for dear life! Poor guy! We had so much fun feeding the cows ... we two city slickers made it work!!!! He will forever be my "Pops" and will miss him terribly. I know he's now without pain and he's at peace with our Lord. I look forward to seeing him again some day!
