On-Site Cremation
It comes as no surprise. As families seek affordable alternatives to traditional funeral and burial services, many are choosing cremation. And many living in our area select Van Orsdel Family Funeral Chapels as their trusted cremation provider. Why?
There are many reasons, but perhaps the most important factor is that we own and operate our crematory on our premises. This means your loved one will never leave our facility. It also means that each step of the cremation process is handled by one of our cremation professionals. And, should you wish to witness the cremation, you will be able to do so.
While some funeral homes advertise that they offer "cremation services", most subcontract this sensitive process to distant, off-site industrial crematories. By operating our own state-of-the art cremation facility, we offer you and your family a priceless commodity – something other funeral homes cannot provide – true peace-of-mind.
- Our professionals adhere to strict procedures which always involve multiple identification steps prior to every cremation process.
- Our state-of-the-art equipment is maintained at the highest possible standards.
- Our cremation professionals adhere to a strict Code of Ethics.
You have our assurance that Van Orsdel Family Funeral Chapels is the most appropriate cremation provider for your family. We are committed to transparency in cremation operations, and invite you to request a tour of our facility. Call us today at (305) 271-1222 to explore our cremation services.
Scattering at Sea Ceremonies
We offer special ceremonies for those who wish to scatter their loved ones ashes at sea. Whether you want our family to respectfully scatter your loved ones ashes in the deep blue waters of the gulf stream or you would like to perform a ceremony on your own, we can help you.
For years, families have entrusted us with scattering their loved ones ashes at sea. We even perform this ceremony for families who live in areas that are far away from the coast. Our family takes a boat out to a legally approved distance from the shore and after conducting a small ceremony, gently places the ashes into the ocean. Once this ceremony has been performed, you will receive a certificate stating the exact cordinates where the ashes were scatterd as well as the date and time. If you would like to perform the ceremony on your own, or even wish to have a group of people present, we can assist you in chartering a boat with an experienced captain that will take your family and friends out to the ocean for the ceremony.
